THE PRINCE & HIS ROSE

Excerpt from Antoine De Saint-Exupery's "The Little Prince"

The little prince went away, to look again at the roses.
"You are not at all like my rose.As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you,and you have tamed no one.You are like my fox when I first knew him.He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I have made him my friend, and now he is unique in all the world. You are beautiful, but you are empty. One could not die for you.To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you-the rose that belongs to me.But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses: because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen; because it is for her that I have killed the caterpillars (except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies); because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose"..

*************** Awwwwww, I was touched by the loyalty of the little prince to his rose. We are very blessed if we also have a friend, family member,or partner in life who is as loyal as the little prince. There are many who are more beautiful, smarter & more talented than us, but for them, we are unique & special because it is we that they tamed.. :)

MAGDALENE

My weakness leaked.
You shouted.
I apologized for it.
You shouted.
I cried out of guilt.
You shouted.
You shouted.
You shouted.

********** We are not perfect. We all make mistakes. But sometimes, those around us would still judge us even though we already sincerely apologized for what we've done. They still shout out to the world & to our face that we're still a bad person & apologizing for it doesn't change a thing... A sad reality.. =(

A Lenten Reflection..

"I want to be a missionary", a dream I uttered that no one believes in.They thought that I'm not serious; that I may just feel this today but will vanish tomorrow. And so, I just dismissed this longing. Upon watching "The Passion of Christ" for the first time during our recollection, this dream of mine entered once again in the scene.I want to spread HIS words, HIS love. But am I truly ready for the challenge? It is not an easy journey to live a life of a full time pastoral worker.I have to defend HIM from those who wants HIM be crucified. I cant be like Plato, who, though believes in HIM, was pressured by the crowd & would just "play safe" in the situation.Am I ready to be like Mary, who would stay in HIS side & have a strong faith during HIS trials? Or would I be a total opposite of her and would just easily give up once an obstacle hinders our way to accomplish our mission?

I called a full time worker from our charismatic community (CFC/SFC)to ask if there's a slot for a full-time pastoral worker.None as of now.Upon hearing her response, I didn't felt any disappointment.I just thought that maybe, this is not yet my time or maybe not really my calling. Either way, I'll still continue on being HIS missionary in my own simple way.Through what ways, you may ask? A million ways, my friend..One of which,is through this..:) The fact that you're reading this, I have somehow helped in spreading HIS love. Even through forwarded text messages.Simple & less complicated but can already give impact on others. You too can be HIS missionary.. :) Join us.. :)

DRIVE ME HOME

a late bloomer i may be,
searching for my purpose.
i need a light to guide me through
the blurred image of my path.
should i go where the way is bright?
should i go the one nearest me?
or the way where they are standing?
how should i know?
what my heart really beats for?
should i just let you in?
let you hold the key?
drive all the way through?
though my eyes will be blind-folded.
i'll just let you lead the way.
no regrets...
no complaints...
i know you'll drive me safe home...
... where i'm supossed to be....

*********** There are times that I'm really depressed searching for my real purpose, my real calling..So many questions, confusions that need clarification... But I'm not that smart to know the answers.. Only HE knows...And so, I'll just let HIM lead me to where I should be.. "LET GO AND LET GOD.."

LOVE ME WHILE YOU MAY

When to this earth, I bade goodbye
And gave away my life's last sigh
Do Promise me you will not cry.

As food for worms, my flesh will be
Rue not my friend, weep not for me
For I will be with HIM, you'll see.

Red roses, if you must give
Let me smell them while I live
Or else their scent I may not sieve.

I wish you'd show me all your care
Now that I still need fresh air
Before it's late and be up there...

********* This is a poem I composed last 2004, when my mom passed away due to liver cancer.
Let's show our care, our love to the people around us while they are still alive, while we are still alive... Sabi nga nila, walang pinagsisisihan sa simula, lahat ng pagsisisi e nasa bandang huli.. So better act now, wag nang ma-cornihan sa pagsasabi ng "I Love You" & "Thank you" sa mga parents natin, kapatid, friends, boyfriend, boss (yep, kahit super strict & unjust sila kung minsan) and sa iba pang tao na nakakasalamuha natin.. =) .... I Love you, Inay. I Love you, Tatay. I Love you, Totits . I Love you, Ate Dedez. I Love you Poi. I Love you Sam. I Love you, Adrian.... =)
